I’m going to call my first microgreens harvest a very big success. I learned a few things from this experience:
1. Labeling bulk purchases of seeds (and other things) is important later.
2. More is not always better.
3. Dirt cleans up pretty easily.
4. It’s much cheaper to grow greens than to buy them.
I’m enjoying my gardening inside—and I can’t think of a reason to stop doing it. One thing I will change is that I’ll plant the microgreens in flower pots from now on. I think. At least that’s how I’ll do the next crop.
Wheatgrass is awesome.
Flower pots, huh? That actually sounds more doable to me than plastic trays and so forth …It is satisfying to eat what you grow outdoors, so why not inside too? food looks YUM. Thanks Lis.
Flower pots might be more practical, I’m thinking. They take up less space and look more like they belong on an end table or window sill.
I’ve got lots of empty ones too—from all the plants I’ve let perish over the last two years 🙂
I’m determined to make up for that!
Lisa
Awesome. I’m jealous! I need to get crackin’!
